On August 13, 2021, over a period of nearly one month, Shenglong successfully completed the on-site technical service for the ultrasonic inspection of three product oil pipelines of Jiuquan branch of the western pipeline of the national pipeline network, indicating that the in-line inspection business of Shenglong has been further verified and expanded.

The project is a project of Jiuquan branch pipeline of Petro China Ulan product pipeline. The pipeline was completed and put into running in 2007. Three pipelines were laid in the same trench. No receiver and launcher device were installed. Pigging and in-line inspection have not been carried out. The internal condition of the pipeline is unknown.

Different from the previous technical service projects for in-line inspection of oil and gas pipelines, Shenglong has added a temporary receiver and launcher through pipeline process transformation and pigging process adjustment, connected with a temporary oil pump for pressurization, and used a special pig and ultrasonic tool. After eight days of pigging and inspection, the ultrasonic inspection data of the three pipelines were successfully collected, and the inspection data were complete. The on-site technical service for the in-line inspection of the three product oil pipelines was successfully completed.

This ultrasonic inspection project is the first time that Shenglong has successfully carried out ultrasonic inspection technical services, and it is also the first time that Shenglong has successfully completed the in-line inspection of complex and difficult small-diameter pipelines. “Shenglong is confident and capable of providing effective small diameter in-line inspection technical services for the pipeline owner, "said Zhao Xiaoguang, general manager of Shenglong.
